MULE DAY WORKS SCHOLARSHIPS

Career & Technical Education or Vocational Training Scholarships

Brought to you by the Maury County Bridle & Saddle Club and Mule Day

Honoring Our Past, Building Their Future

For nearly five decades, the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club and Mule Day have been the silent engine behind local progress. While much of our charitable work has taken place behind the scenes, our impact is woven into the community—from supporting local schools and civic organizations to funding multiple construction and site improvements at Maury County Park.

As we reach the historic milestone of the 50th Mule Day Celebration in 2024, we are focusing our mission on a new horizon: Mule Day Works.

The Legacy of the Mule

The mule is a unique hybrid equine known for its unmatched strength, stamina, and intelligence. For centuries, these animals played an integral part in the history of both America and Maury County. To honor this legacy—and to address the pressing shortage of skilled tradespeople in our modern economy—the Maury County Bridle & Saddle Club has dedicated itself to providing "blue-collar" scholarships for Career & Technical Education (CTE) and Vocational Training.

Investing in the Skilled Trades

We recognize that the path to success isn't always a four-year degree. "Vocational Training" is a broad and vital umbrella, and Mule Day Works is here to support it all. Our scholarships empower young people pursuing diverse and essential fields, including:

  • Infrastructure & Construction: Linemen, welding, auto technicians, HVAC, and building trades.

  • Healthcare & Service: Medical certifications, pharmacy tech, and beauticians.

  • Public Service & Business: Criminal justice, administrative technology, and even musical careers.

Join the Mission

The bottom line is simple: Mules moved the world for hundreds of years; now, Mule Day is working to move the lives of young people in Maury County forward.

You can make a difference in two ways:

  1. Encourage the Next Generation: Help the young people in your family find their path by encouraging them to apply for a Mule Day Works Scholarship.

  2. Become a Sponsor: Every dollar raised through sponsorships goes directly toward the fixed costs of producing our event. By covering these costs, you increase the pool of funding available to support these students.

Together, we can ensure the hardworking spirit of the mule lives on in the next generation of Maury County professionals.
