Important guidelines for camping, stalls, and safety at Maury County Park.
📍 Arrival & Check-In
The Red Top Log Cabin
Located at the entrance to Maury County Park, this is the primary Check-in Center for:
Exhibitors and Concessionaires
Equipment deliveries requiring assistance
Note: Visitors who already have their paperwork and know their destination do not need to stop at the cabin.
Information Center
Located inside the park, the Information Center is available to assist everyone with:

Official Mule Day pins and bumper stickers
All spots are full for vendors and exhibitors, please join the wait list to hold your spot.
⛺ Camping at the Park
Spaces are limited and must be reserved through the Mule Day Office.
Deadlines: Advance payment must be received by February 15th.
Waitlist: First-time campers should call the office in early January to be placed on the waiting list.
Rates:
$160.00 – Regular spot with electricity
$200.00 – Large spot (spot and a half) with electricity
$60.00 – Spot without electricity
Camping Rules:
All campers must have a gate pass.
No bus transportation is provided from the Park to the Parade.
No alcoholic beverages allowed in camping or park areas.
No horse stock allowed in the electric camping area.
Campsites must be cleaned entirely before departure.
🐴 Stall Reservations
Pricing: $75 for inside stalls | $50 for outside stalls.
Capacity: Maximum of 2 animals per stall (except miniature mules/donkeys separated by panels).
Booking: Previous renters have until February 15th to renew. New renters should call in January for the waitlist.
Animal Restrictions:
Show Barns (Covered): Reserved exclusively for Mules, Jacks, or Jennies (except grandfathered horses).
Horses: Must use outside stalls.
Jacks: Not permitted in portable stalls.
Stallions: No horse stallions are allowed anywhere in Maury County Park during Mule Day weekend.
🛡️ Safety & Park Regulations
Health Requirements (State Law)
Negative Coggins Test: Original proof of a test within the last 12 months is required for all animals entering the park or participating in events.
Sales: Equine being sold must have a Coggins test from within the last 6 months.
Out-of-State Entries: Tennessee Law requires a Health Certificate (issued within the last 30 days) for all equine entering from outside the state.
Vehicles & Transit
Golf Carts & ATVs: Prohibited inside the fenced area of Maury County Park.
Exceptions: Mule Day Officials and vehicles with a valid handicapped sticker.
Requirement: All operators must possess a current driver's license.
Vehicle Passes: One vehicle pass is issued per stall renter (additional passes per stall are no longer provided).
Riding Guidelines
Hours: Riding is allowed in designated areas until 10:00 PM.
Pace: Animals must remain at a walk except when inside the arenas.
Night Safety: If riding after dark (inside or outside the park), you must use reflective gear on yourself, your animal, and/or your wagon/cart.
Pets: All dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
